I am looking for my first platoon sergeant (A/2/81) in 1974 who later became the First Sergeant for the HHC 2nd Brigade in 1974 or 1975. He went on to become a CSM at Fort Knox in 1976 and a Batt CSM in the 1st ID at Riley in 1979. If you know who he is (I believe his name was Robert Williams) and how I can contact him please let me know.
Thanks for your help

I WAS IN BRAVO 2/81 FROM 82-84.IT WAS MOST DEFINITELY THE BEST TIME OF MY MILITARY CAREER. SOME DAY I PLAN ON SAVING A LITTLE CASH AND MAKING THE TRIP BACK, BUT I AM AFRAID IT IS GONNA BE ROUGH GOING BACK AND EVERYTHING HAS PROBABLY CHANGED SO MUCH I WON'T RECOGNIZE IT! IT IS MOST DEFINITELY A PLACE IN MY HEART I WILL NEVER FORGET

I was in HHC 3/37 which was reassigned to HHC 2/81. I was there from September 1971 to January 1975.
I was Company Clerk during that tenure. My first CO was CPT Walter Yost, then 1LT Fred Blumberg, followed by CPT William H. Poe, and my last CO was CPT John Griggs III. The Company 1SG was Jack Schmidt. Battalion CO's were LTC Fredericks and LTC Cullen. CSM Dennison was Battalion CSM. The Brigade CO was COL Lynch. Brigade CSM was CSM Hardin. I enjoyed my self while there in Erlangen. I am SP5 Michael R. Keay

Hi, I was stationed at Ferris Barracks from July 1972 - Dec 1974. I was in B Co. third platoon and was there when the unit changed from 3/37 Armor to 2/81 Armor. Seems like yesterday but has been nearly 35 years since I left. If any old friends see this I can be contacted at relicman1953@wildblue.net
